When Luca Seck joined the Kona crew earlier this year, he wasted no time diving into a project he had been dreaming about long before his first day: building his first Kona drop-bar bike. If there is one thing Luca is known for, it is that none of his bikes ever look the same. Every build is a one-off, and this Libre CR is no exception.
After years of mostly road riding, Luca wanted a bike that could take over daily-driver duties. He wanted something he would reach for in winter or summer, on pavement or dirt, for short spins or long missions. The Libre CR became the perfect canvas, especially in that unmistakable yellow. From there, Luca leaned into both personality and performance, choosing silver CNC machined components that make the whole build shine in the best possible way.
For Luca, the bike had to look good but also meet one simple requirement: go fast anywhere. The result is a Libre CR that turns heads at every coffee stop but is built for purpose first, with a dialed fit and a parts selection chosen with intention.
A little blingy, a lot capable, and unmistakably Kona – Luca’s Libre CR is the definition of a dream build.

For the drivetrain Luca has paired SRAM Force E1 Shifters with a SRAM Force XPLR E1 13Speed rear derailleur (with Tripeak pulley wheels). Keeping it in the family, the cassette (10-46t) and chain are both SRAM Force. That crazy chainring? That's an Alugear Aero Golf Ball 46t in silver.

The wheels are Reserve 40/44's laced to DT Swiss 180 hubs, and they are shod with Schwalbe G-One RS Pro tires in 45mm front and rear.
Slowing this speed demon down is taken care of with a set of SRAM Force E1 brakes with 160mm rotors front and rear.

That insane seatpost is the Tune Leichtes Stück 27.2 in 420mm length, the seat collar is also from Tune and is the Schraubwürger 31.8. The saddle is the tried and true Selle Italia Flite Boost Carbonio 145mm. The little saddle bag is the Silca Seat Roll Premio.

Luca finished off the cockpit with a Ritchey Comp Zero Logic ZS44/56 headset, Fraezen spacers, a silver Zipp Service Course 120mm negative 8º stem, a Lambda Tuning Cross Wing Aero 36/43 handlebar with matching Lambda computer mount, and Bucklos Bauhinia black and white bar tape.
The build was rounded out with Look Keo Blade Carbon pedals, a C-Bear Gen2 Ceramic bottom bracket, Tune Wasserträger 2.0 bottle cages, and a Cervelo Smartpak 400 top tube bag.
