Give them a mountain and they’ll climb it. Give them a chairlift and they’ll stand in line for it. Give them a powerful e-bike and you’ll never see them again.

The new Remotes were built for riders who like to disappear for as long as possible. Big batteries, big power, and enough capability to keep going until you’re out of daylight—or quite possibly out of trail.

Powered by Bosch’s full-power CX drive system and built for those who always seem to have one more lap left in them, these bikes turn long climbs into short interruptions between the good parts.

Be relentless. Ride it all. Top to bottom. Then do it again.

  • Game changing ride

The Remote 160 is a game-changer. The first ride has that “where has this been all my life?” feeling—like getting indoor plumbing for the first time. Sure, there’s nothing like squatting in the moss every once in a while… but once you’ve had a seat warmed bidet, you’re gonna opt for it.

  • Signature Process characteristics

All the perks of a motor onboard, and it still carries the signature Process ride characteristics: intuitive and playful when you want to move the bike around, yet stable and confidence-inspiring when the trail gets rough.

  • Low center of gravity for noticeable traction

Better climbing, better descending—it all comes from traction and is the first thing riders notice. The Remote grips hard on the way up and feels just as composed on the way down. We were intentional about battery placement, positioning it as low as possible to keep the center of gravity planted. Pair that with slightly lengthened chainstays for added stability, and the result is a bike that stays calm and predictable when things get steep.

  • Maneuverability where you want it

Mixed wheel size capability with our Match or Mix flip chip

All of it comes together in a ride that feels perfectly balanced, with smooth, natural power delivery that enhances the trail rather than overpowering it.

  • Full-Power Performance

The Bosch Performance Line CX system delivers up to 750 watts of peak power and 120Nm of torque, making quick work of steep climbs, punchy technical sections, and long self-shuttle days. Whether you’re chasing another lap or heading deeper into the mountains, the CX system is always ready for more.

  • All-Day Range

Equipped with a quick-change 800Wh internal battery and compatible with Bosch’s optional 250Wh PowerMore range extender, the Remote platform is built to keep moving long after most rides would call it quits. Less range anxiety. More time enjoying the riding.

  • Ride More. Effort Less.

The Bosch CX system changes the equation. Long climbs become short interruptions between descents. Shuttle runs become self-shuttles or group rides with no odd-person-out. One lap becomes three. With powerful support available even at lower cadences, the CX system helps riders clean brutal climbs, conquer technical sections, and keep pushing long after fatigue starts to set in. By combining powerful assistance with proven Bosch reliability, the CX system helps riders spend less energy getting there and more energy enjoying the ride.

  1. Can I buy this as just a frame, motor, and battery?
  2. Nope. The Remote 160 and the Remote X only come as a complete bikes—this way, it rides like it’s supposed to, every single time.
  3. Can I easily remove the battery for charging?
  4. Yep! We specifically designed this model for pit-crew style battery swaps.
  5. Can I power the bike using only the range extender?
  6. Technically yes—with the right expectations. The range extender is designed to work alongside the main battery, not replace it. If your main battery is at 0% but you’ve got a full PM250 range extender, the bike will still power on—just don’t expect full support. For full performance, the main battery should be charged and used together with the range extender. Range Calculator
  7. Can I run a 29” wheelset front and back?
  8. Absolutely! Flip the chip, swap the wheels, and ride however you like.
  9. Can I customize power assistance and shift behavior?
  10. Totally. The Bosch Flow app lets you tweak power, overrun, and more so the bike rides just the way you want it.
  11. What’s the estimated range?
  12. That depends—terrain, rider weight, and how hard you push it all factor in. Bosch has a handy range calculator to help you dial in numbers for your ride style.
  1. What’s the max rear tire size?
  2. It depends. Tire brand, tread, rims, and riding style all play a role. Mud can pack up, and hard riding can flex your wheel enough to rub the frame. Common sense wins here—if it’s rubbing enough to hurt the frame, it’s probably too big.
  3. What’s the warranty?
  4. Frameset: Lifetime coverage against manufacturing defects for the original owner, plus a lifetime crash replacement policy.
Electronics and Battery: Covered separately by the manufacturer—check the Bosch website for specifics.
  5. Where can I get replacement chargers or cables?
  6. Hit up your local Kona dealer or Bosch eBike service—you’ll be riding again in no time.
  7. How fast can I go?
  8. The Bosch CX motor assists up to your country’s legal limit—20mph in the US, 32kmh in Canada, and 25kmh in the EU. Power tapers off near the limit so it still feels natural. Downhill speed? That’s all you, the trail, and your skills.
  9. What class e-bike is this?
  10. Class 1. That means:

    No throttle—pedal-assist only.

    Assistance stops at 20mph (US) / 32kmh (CAN) / 25kmh (EU).

For comparison: Class 2 has throttles, and Class 3 assists up to 28mph.
