The all-new carbon Process 153 CR DL has been out in the world for a few weeks now and we are already seeing some very cool custom builds rolling on the trails. This XL frame up build hails from New Zealand and sporting hand me down wheels, and dropper post, but the rest of the build was acquired especially for this build.
The drivetrain is mostly a SRAM GX T-type affair complete with the bash guards that aren't found on the OE spec version.
Out back you'll find a GX AXS Transmission derailleur and chain but that cassette is a SRAM XO.
A RockShox Lyrik Ultimate keeps that front end tracking...
While a RockShox Super Deulxe Ultimate rear shock keeps things under control out the back.
Stopping power is provided my SRAM's upgraded Code Ultimate complete with carbon levers and titanium hardware. Those silver MMX clamps are from an old set of SRAM Elixir brakes in Calebs parts bin!
We mentioned earlier that the dropper post had been on another bike, well this is actually the third bike its been on. Its a pre production OneUp V2 240 sample and its still going strong. The V3 post is out now, but with this one still working like new, Caleb saw no point in upgrading. Well actually he did add a couple of oil slick titanium bolts.
OneUps V2 lever and new fat grip start things off in the cockpit.
A OneUp 42mm stem houses a OneUp EDC tool, the handlebar is OneUp's slightly more compliant ebike 35mm riser bar. The headset has since been upgraded to a red Chris King Inset2.
One thing that Kiwi's, Aussies and all moto braking riders love, is the fact that our bikes offer internal routing for the rear brake on both sides of the headtube.
Caleb's Chris King x Reserve wheels are now on their fifth bike and still going strong. Recent additions to the wheels are the Reserve Filmore valves, Caleb claims that these are life changing and as important as dropper posts. The wheels are shod with the always reliable Minion/Assegai combo.
OneUp's new inline mount keeps the EDC pump snuggly out of the way on the Process top tube and the Wolftooth Morse bottle cage maximize space in the front triangle, not that its really needed, bottle fitment has been hugely improved with the new G3 bikes.
Like the Process X range of bikes, all new Process 134's and 153's now have a mullet chip for downsizing the rear well while maintaining the bikes geo.
The build would not be complete without a DYEDBRO Marsh guard.
