One thing we can all agree on is that the best way to experience someplace new, and to experience it fully, is from the saddle of a bike. Wilderness Voyageurs Bike Tours, an outfitter based in the small town of Ohiopyle, Pennsylvania, imbues that belief into every single one of their fully-supported cycling vacations.
The Bike Tours division of Wilderness Voyageurs is led by Kasia Martin, a lifelong cyclist and traveler from Boulder, Colorado. She oversees a team of over 60 guides and tour managers operating nearly 250 departures across the U.S. every single year. These tours include rail-trail, road, and gravel tours in over 25 states and 30 National Parks.

These tours are active cycling vacations complete with two guides, a support vehicle, and daily itineraries that enable guests to really focus on having a good time riding and immerse themselves within these exceptional destinations. The multi-day, inn-to-inn format allows for plenty of time to ride and relax without having to worry about logistics, you just show up and ride (not to mention getting to sleep in real beds and wear a dry kit every day).

Wilderness Voyageurs became a Kona dealer in 2009, and since then has maintained thousands of bikes across a number of iconic model lines. For bike tours, they currently maintain almost 500 bikes including Roves, Libres, Cocos, and Dews. Maintained at their Bike Ops Headquarters along Route 40 in Farmington, Pennsylvania, these bikes are meticulously cared for by a team of skilled mechanics with tubeless tire sealant and hydraulic brake fluid running through their veins.
“They’re the bike person’s bike brand,” says Bike Ops Manager, Tour Divide athlete, and all-around bike guru Montana Miller. “I’ve always liked Kona bikes because they’re thoughtfully designed and well-specced at each price point.”
Walking through their storage bays is nothing short of surreal; surrounded by hundreds of shiny Libres and Dews you start to get a sense of how dedicated these folks are about biking.
