Kona Dream Builds: Eddie Reynold's Trail Ready Process 153 CR DL

On his recent visit to New Zealand, Kona Factory Rider Eddie Reynolds didn't pack a trail bike. To be fair, he thought he was just going to be riding shuttles and gondolas in Queenstown, Wellington, and Rotorua. But we had other plans in store for him. After pedaling up some super steep Rotorua Forestry Roads with a road cassette on his Process X, he returned home to California knowing he had to put together a Process 153 CR pedal-ready bruiser. And this bad mutha is it.

The drivetrain is a Shimano affair with XTR cranks matched to an XTR Cassette and rear mech out the back. Deity Flat Track pedals ensure Eddie's feet are putting the power down. The rear 153mm of travel comes courtesy of a Marzocchi Bomber Air rear shock.

Up front, damping and suspension are taken care of with this incredibly sexy Marzocchi Z1 Bomber fork. The cockpit is Deity affair, with a Copperhead stem holding a Speedway bar firmly in place.

Shimano XTR stoppers slow things down when needed, and Deity Knuckle Duster grips keep even the sweatiest of hands in place.

New for Eddie's rides in 2025 is the addition of Michelin Tires to his sponsor list. These are mounted to Enve Carbon rims laced to Chris King Hubs. Dreamy.

Fox's always reliable Transfer post looks after the uppy-down duties on this fantastic rig.

Other than the Deity saddle I don't think we missed anything.
