Want to know what a Solo 24-Hour World Championship-winning bike looks like? Well, it looks a lot like this. This is one of Cory Wallace’s (@wallacesworld) two (nearly identical) Hei Hei CRs that he raced at the WEMBO 24-Hour Worlds in Canberra, Australia, at the end of 2024. The build features a dialed mix of Fox and Shimano components, ultra-special wheels from NOBL and Berd, and a whole lot of bling from Wolf Tooth Components. Let's dive in for a closer look.
For the drivetrain, Cory has opted for a 34 Wolftooth Drop Stop chain ring mated to a set of XTR cranks and XTR rear mech for crisp long long-lasting shifting. That nice alloy UDH hanger? That's from Canadian company North Shore Billet.
The new Hei Hei features 180 post mounts in the rear, so there's no need for post mount adaptors. Two piston XTR stoppers matched with IceTech Centerlock rotors keep things under control.
Suspension is handled by Fox front and rear. A remote lockout-equipped Fox Float shock keeps the rear end under control while a Kashima-coated Fox Factory 34 Step Cast fork ensures that the front wheel tracks true.
Cory's been riding Canadian NOBL wheels for a few years now, but more recently he's made the switch to BERD spokes. If you are unaware, BERD spokes are made from Dyneema material, like many lightweight packs, shoes, and climbing slings! The wheels roll on a Maxxis Aspen ST / Aspen combo.
With Multiple water bottle bosses, there are a ton of bottle configurations you can run. On Cory's Medium frame, there is enough room to run two bottle on the downtube alone in a matching set of Wolf Tooth Ti Morse cages.
Tire clearance for days.
The build was rounded out with a Fox dropper post and a whole bunch of color-matched parts from Wolf Tooth, like the headset, top cap, and seat collar.
