On April 27th, I raced from Paris to Ancaster, one of Ontario’s most iconic races. This spring classic-style event serves up a bit of everything: gravel roads, pavement, punchy climbs, technical farm sectors, and of course, the legendary mud chutes. This year it was also a UCI Gravel Worlds Qualifier. Historically, weather conditions can have you covered head-to-toe in mud, but this year it was lovely to experience P2A at its finest. We scored sunshine, and there had been just enough rain earlier in the week to keep a little mud in the chutes.
For the first time at P2A, the women had a completely separate start, which altered the dynamic. It introduced new tactics into the women’s race, creating some exciting racing!
I was stoked to come away with 3rd place, and even more excited that it means I’ve qualified for the 2025 Gravel World Championships in the Netherlands!
