It was officially new bike day on December 20 for the two winners of the Cycling BC x Kona Bike Raffle, and we couldn’t be more stoked to see these bikes roll out into the world.
Congratulations to Rob Ellaway of West Vancouver, who picked up a Kona Libre CR, and to Christopher Rozitis, whose family took home a Kona Honzo 20 — a bike that’s about to see plenty of smiles, skids, and backyard laps.
The raffle officially wrapped up earlier in December, with ticket sales closing on December 8 and winners selected through a random draw using the registered Electronic Raffle Supplier’s (Rafflebox) system. While only two riders took home bikes, the impact reached much further. Thanks to everyone who purchased a ticket, shared the raffle, or helped spread the word; more than $9,300 was raised to support youth development and grassroots cycling programs across British Columbia.
