I’m a Sea-to-Sky local, having lived in Pemberton until I was 12 and then relocating to Squamish, where I live now. People are constantly saying how rare it is to meet a true local, but I guess if you’re a true local you know all the locals…and it’s not that weird. My love has always been the feeling you get when going fast and growing up it was all about finding speed and new ways to obtain it. I’ve spent the last 10 years of my life chasing speedy dreams around the world discovering the feelings of failure, regret and what broken bones feel like; but more importantly confidence, inclusion and in my eyes, success. Although my time with Kona is still very much in its beginnings, I feel a part of the club! The past year of racing and riding with the Gravity Team has reignited a passion for pushing the limits, going fast and dropping in against the clock.

WHERE ARE YOU FROM AND WHERE DO YOU LIVE?
DO YOUR BIKES REQUIRE ANY SPECIAL SETUP TRICKS TO MAKE THEM “JUST RIGHT”?
Brake feel is very important to me, like most. The levers must be close to the bar for my shorter fingers but not fade and have good modulation. If they can have an even feeling between the front and rear, then perfect!
WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS SEASON?
I’m looking forward to racing another entire season of EWS. I feel like at each round last year, I figured out another chunk of the puzzle and now it will be cool to go in with a little more experience and a fresh point of view. I’m also super excited to race the Maribor World Cup!
WHO IS THE CYCLIST YOU MOST ADMIRE AND WHY?
To choose one when you're surrounded by so many great people is too hard.
Loic Bruni–for his seemingly perfect, powerful riding but more importantly his good heart.
Finn Iles–for his mental strength and unwavering confidence.
Steve Smith–for being a friend first and then a champion.
Jared Graves–for his willingness to help others improve and his skill in so many disciplines.
Casey Brown–for always being herself.
WHERE WAS THE BEST PLACE YOU RODE IN 2019?
Damn, tough choice! So many sick new places I got to experience last year. I think the best trails were in Derby, Tasmania and the most beautiful was Canazei, Italy.
IF YOU COULD HAVE DINNER WITH ONE PERSON (DEAD OR ALIVE) WHO WOULD IT BE AND WHY?
I'd say Bill Murray, but he might not show up.
WHAT ACTOR/ACTRESS WOULD PORTRAY YOU IN A MOVIE?
HOW WOULD YOUR MOTHER DESCRIBE YOU IN JUST THREE WORDS?
generous. deep. loved.
FAVORITE MOMENT OF 2019
I was so happy to get my first EWS podium in Les Orres, France and I had so much fun racing the World Cup in Les Gets, France. These two were highlights of my year for sure!
Would you rather spend money or save money?
I’d rather save money. I appreciate purchases that are well thought-out and appreciated but I don’t like frivolous consumption.
Would you rather drive a car or a pick-up?
A car. Because I like to save money.
Would you rather watch a comedy or a horror movie?
Comedy, because laughter makes me feel good.
Would you rather be unable to use search engines or unable to use social media?
I’d give up search engines before social media. Social media can bring people together AND it’s full of time-wasting content.
Would you rather always be 10 minutes late or always be 20 minutes early?
20 minutes early for sure! Sometimes late people are super annoying. Also, if you know me, you know that I hate to be rushed. So, if I’m always early, there’s no rush.
