I’m a Sea-to-Sky local, having lived in Pemberton until I was 12 and the remainder of my time in Squamish. People are constantly saying how rare it is to meet a true local but I guess if you’re a true local you know all the locals… My love has always been the feeling you get when going fast, and growing up it was all about finding speed and new ways to obtain it. I’ve spent the last 10 years of my life chasing speedy dreams around the world discovering the feelings of failure, regret and what broken bones feel like; but more importantly confidence, inclusion and in my eyes, success. I consider myself very lucky to be joining The Kona Bike Company for 2019 as it has supported and groomed many people I have looked up to and respected. There are some big names like Connor Fearon and Barel, but as a Sea-to-Sky local, a childhood role model...Kyle Ritchie! Fun fact, my first email address was [email protected]

WHERE ARE YOU FROM AND WHERE DO YOU LIVE?
DO YOUR BIKES REQUIRE ANY SPECIAL SETUP TRICKS TO MAKE THEM “JUST RIGHT”?
Brake feel is very important to me, like most. The levers must be close to the bar for my shorter fingers but not fade and have good modulation. If they can have an even feeling between the front and rear, then perfect!
WHO IS THE CYCLIST YOU MOST ADMIRE AND WHY?
To choose one when you're surrounded by so many great people is too hard.
Loic Bruni- for his seemingly perfect, powerful riding but more importantly his good heart.
Finn Iles- for his mental strength and unwavering confidence.
Steve Smith- for being a friend first and then a champion.
Jared Graves- for his willingness to help others improve and his skill in so many disciplines.
Casey Brown- for always being herself.
WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS SEASON?
For me this season is very new, so I have a lot to look forward to! I'm switching from focusing solely on World Cup DH to EWS. This means a different mindset and set of skills that I get to train and a fresh set of challenges.
WHERE WAS THE BEST PLACE YOU RODE IN 2018?
That would be a tie between Queenstown, NZ and Morzine.
IF YOU COULD HAVE DINNER WITH ONE PERSON (DEAD OR ALIVE) WHO WOULD IT BE AND WHY?
I'd say Bill Murray, but he might not show up.
WHAT ACTOR/ACTRESS WOULD PORTRAY YOU IN A MOVIE?
HOW WOULD YOUR FRIENDS DESCRIBE YOU IN JUST THREE WORDS?
resting bitch face (jk)
FAVORITE MOMENT OF 2018
Simple. Lenzerheide, Switzerland World Championships. The pit party after Loic Bruni won.
Would you like more time or more money?
Money is pretty cool but I think I'd take more time.
Well the first thought that comes to mind is how summer is so much more fun than winter, mainly because it's light out longer and you feel like you have so much time to do fun things.
Would you rather have no internet or no cellphone?
Ohhh hard question. No Internet.
I'm bad at the internet anyways. I'm never really sure what I'm supposed to look at.
Would you rather be invisible or the have the ability to fly?
Ability to Fly
I did this Zip Line in Leogang called the Flying Fox and it felt like you were flying and it was probably the best 30 seconds of my life.
Pancakes or French Toast?
Let's not give the French tooooo much... (also a joke)
Would you rather have a winter of rain or a winter of snow?
Winter of rain. Although I feel guilty for saying that because you know...climate change and all.
Because bikes. And rain is warmer than snow and I don't like being cold.
