ENDURANCE / ADVENTURE

Kris Sneddon

I've been riding bikes since I was 11 years old in the original Sprockids program and have built a bunch of trails with my dad on the Sunshine Coast. I got my first Kona when I was 19 and am now old enough to remember Roland Green, Ryder Hesjedal, Peter Wedge, Geoff Kabush, Tracy Moseley, and Fabien Barel as Kona athletes.

Three things we don’t know about you?
  1. I have been racing full time for the past 15 years and am now transitioning to full time work in the logging industry.
  2. I am one of the organizers of the 2017 Sunshine Coaster mountain bike race in my hometown, Sechelt BC.
  3. I enjoy coffee, beer, and using more soap than the average person to clean my bike.
Cats or dogs?
Dogs are awesome but I don’t have the time to take care of them so I would go for a cat. And my girlfriend made me write cat(s).
Would you rather be eaten by a lion or be eaten by ants?
I would assume the lion would kill you quicker than the ants so I would want a quick death.
Zombie apocalypse or alien invasion?
Alien invasion. I got scared watching the movie Alien when I was a kid and ever since then I have always thought aliens were scary and cool.
Would you rather become a superhero or a supervillain?
Superhero. The good guy always saves the girl.
Sunrise or sunset?
Sunrise. I like getting up early in the morning. My teammates Barry and Spencer say I like to get my rooting around done nice and early.

Favorite moment of 2016

Racing the Trans BC Enduro, with teammate Barry Wicks and friend Roger Bartels. It was a blast and some of the nicest trails I have ever ridden. I have to admit I was intimidated going into it but it was awesome to try a different race discipline.
